CATA seminar: DOL's new overtime pay rule

September 9, 2016
The U.S. Department of Labor's rule on overtime pay, which takes effect Dec. 1, is expected to impact more than 4 million workers within the first year of implementation. That's creating a lot of buzz, but also a lot of confusion about who will qualify for additional pay.
Franczek Radelet P.C., the CATA's employee relations counsel, will examine the rule at a two-hour CATA seminar that begins at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21. To attend, send name(s) to, with subject line "Sept. 21 seminar." Or call the CATA at (630) 495-2282.
In addition, Franczek Radelet is offering dealers special pricing to perform a two-phase audit of which employees will qualify to be exempt from overtime pay under the new rule. The audit will also give additional assistance in meeting various other requirements under state and federal law.  The specifics of the arrangement, including cost and scope of each phase, is detailed here.
This service provides dealers with valuable guidance on complex and confusing wage and hour issues faced by all members at a predictable and reasonable cost structure.  If you are interested, please contact directly David Radelet, at  (312) 786-6190, or Staci Ketay Rotman, at  (312) 786-6568.
